Ted Homatas has been glued to his monitor since the age of 6 when he received his first Apple computer. He was finally freed from this terribly pale fate, when he became glued to the much smaller and portable screen of his mobile phone. When not completely occupied with figuring out how to run every aspect of his life from said phone, he likes to sit around and contemplate metacognition.

Andrei Zernoveanu began his career flying jets in the Romanian Air Force, but when he realized it didn't give him enough of a rush he turned his attention to software and the Internet. He hopes one day to combine his love of dogs and programming through the creation of some sort of super-intelligent robot version that will eventually take over the earth.

Harry Georgopoulos has endurance in spades. Whether it's for running a marathon at the drop of hat, or for plowing through thousands of entries in his feed reader in one sitting. Othewise, he's happy filling his time doting on his loving family or telling any company who will listen how to fix their damn products.

About Us

The idea for txtful came from 2 realizations.

The first was that we were increasingly becoming frustrated when we were away from our computers. We had become so used to having a world of information and functionality at our fingertips that when we were out and about it sometimes felt like we were missing a limb or something. Sure we had fancy mobile phones loaded with apps and access to the mobile web, but it just wasn't the same.

Apps were slow to load and drained our batteries. Sites didn't work well on the little screens. And worse clicking and scrolling through a bunch of pages and content just didn't work in the places we were trying to use them from (namely walking).

The second realization was that most of the time we only needed a small subset of the features of the sites we used. Even better a lot of the information that we would usually enter to use these features didn't change all that much.

From there it became obvious that we could build a system that would go and do these very specific things for us whenever we told it to via simple messages.

After several months of very long days and nights txtful was born. Now we use txtful every day to make our lives easier, and we think it can do the same for you.

P.S. If you think your company or site could benefit from a txtful shortcut, let us know through our contact form.
